Problem: The burden of traffic congestions and insufficient data for improved traffic management

Suggested challenge: Traffic is one of the main problems nowadays and will be worst in coming 20 years if not well planned today. There is too much traffic on the one main road (Jamrud road) in Peshawar, and it should be better distributed.

Insights: Through the collection and sharing of historic and real-time traffic information and its analysis and visualization, urban planners could be better informed on managing transportation in the city, and the commuters would also have access to traffic information to inform their choice of root and better plan their trips.     Your Idea is the same as it was running in my mind ..It will be quite Awesome if we make up as a team and go for it as my team members are rejected due to space constraints ...

    Cool. I pitched with this idea during registration. I am glad moderator has refined it and posted additional information. May be will go ahead with a project on these lines.

    Great to see like minded personnel coming together to solve civic problems :)
    The traffic problem was indeed identified by multiple personnel and it will be great if you can form team and build a solution for it.

    The same techniques are implemented here in Dubai, they are directing all traffic from centralized systems. Local taxi and govt transports through GPS & information system while private & commercial through FM Radio.
